Coastal Challenge

A total of 234 runners took part in the 2007 Covers Cross Country Run and at the start of 2008 a fabulous total of £7,367 has been raised from the run.  We hope to have done as well in 2008 although the bad weather will not have helped.

This sum combined with the Walk and the Yacht Race participants’ sterling efforts, all of which make up the Coastal Challenge, has raised £39,823 so far and we know that we can still expect more sponsorship money - we anticipate a final total of about £45,000. Please keep going if you are still collecting your sponsorship money.

The money raised will go towards the costs of caring for our patients and their loved ones.

It costs St Wilfrid’s Hospice £4 million to provide our range of services and it is only possible for this specialist care to continue through the support of people like you.

We hope even more runners will join us for the 2009 Covers Cross Country Run to be held on a sunny (we hope after 2008) Sunday in October 2009 – sure to be a challenge and fun!
